New Cardiology Clinic Opening In Gun Barrel City

GUN BARREL CITY Residents of Henderson County will soon have improved access to the highest levels of cardiac care available in the region, according to a news release. The new Gun Barrel City clinic from Cardiovascular Associates of East Texas (CAET), in affiliation with the Louis and Peaches Owen Heart Hospital (LPOHH), launches with an open house Aug. 18. The event’s scheduled from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m., with a ribbon cutting at 11:30 a.m. The facility’s located at 126 West Main, Suite C.

The Open House will offer residents a chance to meet some of the cardiology team that will be offering weekly consultations at the new clinic. Scott Wright, MD, FACC; Richard Lowry, MD, FACC; and CAET founding partner, Noah Israel, MD, FACC, will divide their time and services among patients on a rotating basis every Tuesday.

By partnering with Cardiovascular Associates of East Texas, Trinity Mother Frances and the Louis and Peaches Owen Heart Hospital are demonstrating our continual commitment to provide East Texas with the very highest levels of care, said Dr. Steve Keuer, President and Chief Medical Officer, Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics. We take great pride in the quality of care we provide, and we are confident this affiliation will improve upon both organizations already high standards.

While the clinic will begin operation on Aug. 19, offering consultations, there are plans in place to expand in the future. Hours of operation, number of physicians and the variety and volume of services offered are slated to develop in the coming months. Patients will receive imaging services provided by Mother Frances Hospital. Additionally, CAET patients will benefit from a streamlined process for admitting and services from Trinity Mother Frances Hospital when needed, according to the news release. Officials say that will happen partially through the implementation and coordination of the TMFHC electronic health record, ConnectCARE.
