Smith County Burglary Suspect Arrested

On Thursday, a Smith County Sheriffs Office patrol deputy along with a Smith County K-9 officer executed an arrest warrant in the 18000 block of Briarcrest in Flint. Broderick Willis, 18, of Flint is charged with burglary of a habitation. The warrant was issued by Judge Kerry Russell of the 7th State District Court, who set bond at $100,000. Willis is currently being held in the Smith County Jail.
On April 24 of this year, Willis allegedly committed a burglary of a residence on Holcomb Circle in the southwestern part of Smith County. Among the items taken were several credit cards, a leather wallet, and a purse. Since his arrest, Willis has also been charged with three probation violations, including theft of a firearm, theft of property, and possession of a controlled substance.
