According to KETK, just one extra dollar is all county residents will have to pay to register their cars starting in January. But county officials say that dollar can make a huge impact. The extra fee was passed by county commissioners this week. Funds collected from the fee will go directly to the Rusk-Panola Child Advocacy Center and will be used for resources to help children who are being abused or are at risk for being abused.
