East Texan Indicted for Murder of 21-Month-Old

MARSHALL � A Harrison County grand jury has indicted a man for murder in the death of a toddler earlier this year. KETK reports Deterryon Tyrell Kelly, 27, of Marshall, was indicted on Thursday. On May 6, he allegedly killed the 21-month-old, who was found unresponsive at the Marshall Best Western Hotel, located in the 5200 block of East End Boulevard. The child later died at Good Shepherd Medical Center-Marshall. Justice of the Peace Precinct 2 Judge Clarice Watkins ordered an autopsy. Kelly was arrested on a capital murder warrant June 4 after the autopsy was returned.
