Texas Senator John Cornyn Meets with Local Leaders

TYLER — Texas Senator John Cornyn was on the UT Tyler campus Friday meeting with local leaders to discuss and to learn more about the university’s initiatives in the area of primary education, particularly as it pertains to science, technology, engineering and math. Sen. Cornyn made a statement to members of the local media regarding the importance of those initiatives, saying that education must be pursued in such a way as to avoid the danger of having acquired skills become obsolete. A portion of his remarks may be seen in the video below.
