Jailer Arrested, Fired after Allegedly Pointing Gun at Girlfriend

LONGVIEW � A Longview man who’d been serving as a jailer has been released from employment with the Gregg County Sheriff’s Office following his arrest Saturday. The arrest came after Chase Scott allegedly pointed a gun at his girlfriend during an argument earlier that day at the Tree House Apartments in Longview. KETK reports Scott was booked into the Gregg County Jail on charges of aggravated family violence with a bond totaling $20,000.
