Coors of Longview Sold

Coors of LongviewLONGVIEW – After 39 years in business, Coors of Longview will be shutting its doors. It made the announcement on its Face Book page. According to the release, “on October 31st, 2014, Coors of Longview, Inc. will officially close its doors for good. This has not been an easy decision to come by, as our customers, fans, and employees are so dear to us. Your loyalty and support for nearly four decades is what has made Coors of Longview the influential and well known business it is today.” Giglio Distributing, an East Texas-based beer distributor, will take over distribution for Coors of Longview.

In June, the facility on West Cotton Street was hit by fire that caused about a half a million dollar in damages. But the company says, they missed a single day of operation, which they made up. The company says all business and operations will continue normally until after October 31st, upon which Giglio Distributing will officially take over the distribution of their product. Coors of Longview employees 50 persons.
