Today Is the Last Day to Request a Mail Ballot

TYLER — Today is the last day to request a ballot by mail for the November 4 election. To request a ballot by mail, voters can fill out an application at http://www.smith-county.com on the elections Web page, then return it to scelections@smith-county.com via email. Applications may also be faxed to 903-590-4778.
To be eligible to vote early by mail in Texas, you must:
· be 65 years or older;
· be disabled;
· be out of the county on election day and during the period for early voting by personal appearance; or
· be confined in jail, but otherwise eligible.
