Abbott/Norris Make Campaign Stop in Tyler

TYLER — Less than two weeks before election day, Republican gubernatorial candidate, Greg Abbott made his way to East Texas Friday. He brought along a legendary Texas icon, Chuck Norris. The pair appeared in the Rose Room yesterday morning around 11:15. According to KETK, Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott made his case on why he should be elected governor. And Chuck Norris is on his side. Keeping the borders safe and secure, education and the booming Texas economy are just some of Abbott’s biggest passions. The Republican candidate said Texas is ranked number two in the nation for women owned businesses.

If elected, he wants Texas to be number one. He proudly noted that, if elected, his wife would be the first Hispanic first lady in Texas. Abbott said he wants to keep Texas conservative and strong. Chuck Norris wants voters to know, Abbott is the only option.

“He’s a man of integrity. He’s a man of honesty, and he’s a man, who I said earlier, says what he means and means what he says. That’s very important to me that I can believe when he says something that it can be the truth, and he’s gonna follow through with it,” said Norris.
