Man Jailed after Investigation Reveals Drugs, Gun

gilbertbrownmugTATUM An East Texas man is behind bars after an investigation led to the discovery of drugs. KETK reports a probe by the Rusk County Sheriffs Office Criminal Investigation Division resulted in the seizure of approximately 40 grams of suspected crack cocaine, money, and a gun. The investigation was launched at the home of Gilbert Brown on Simon Lane in Tatum. Brown, 66, was arrested and booked into the Rusk County Jail on a single charge of manufacturing and delivering an illegal substance. A $100,000 bond was set by Justice of the Peace Precinct 5 Joe Sorrells. Browns alleged crime is punishable by up to 99 years in prison.
