Palestine Police Seeking Armed Robber
Posted/updated on: October 29, 2014 at 12:06 pmPALESTINE — The Palestine Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that took place at the Dollar General Store in the 4000 block of West Oak Street. KETK reports that upon investigation, police learned a black male entered the store just before 9:00 Sunday night. The man was armed with a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. The robber was able to get away with what officials term an undetermined amount of cash. Police searched the area but were unable to locate him at that time.
The man was described as approximately 6’0″ with a slender build, wearing dark-colored pants, and a black long-sleeved shirt with a red shirt over it. According to the victim, the robber also had a bandana covering the lower part of his face. The handgun was described as a black pistol. There were two clerks on duty at the time of the incident and no injuries were reported.
