According to Mayor William Rogers, Hawkins police responded Thursday afternoon to the scene in the 100 block of Estelle Street after a home health care worker couldn’t get anyone to answer the door. Officials found two people, both in their 60s, and three dogs dead. The door was reportedly unlocked and there were no signs of forced entry or theft. Identities have not been released. Rogers said the news is saddening for his town. Its a tragedy. My heart goes out to all the families that are involved and we need to pray for the families and pray for our country and town. These are the times (editors note: the holidays) people are saddened in their life, Rogers told KETK.
