According to KETK and the Longview News-Journal, Johnathan Fielden Jones, 22, is charged with possession of marijuana between 4 ounces and 5 pounds. Police say that’s after they pulled him over for speeding at about 8:15 p.m. Tuesday. An officer smelled marijuana in the car, and a search of the vehicle revealed several packages of marijuana totaling about 1 pound and 3.5 ounces, a police report states.

Travis Aaron Jones, 25, is charged with possession of marijuana between 5 and 50 pounds and possession of a controlled substance less than 400 grams, according to police. Officers executed a search warrant about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at a home in the 1200 block of Nancy Circle where Jones was detained and where officers found more than 5 pounds of marijuana and more than 400 grams of suspected promethazine with codeine, police said.

Brett Jones, 29, arrived at the Nancy Circle address about 9:45 p.m. looking for his brother, according to his affidavit of probable cause. Police said he was asked to leave but refused, and after a brief confrontation, punched an officer in the face. He is charged with assault of a public servant and remained in the Gregg County Jail on Wednesday on $25,000 bond, jail records show. Johnathan Jones and Travis Jones were released Wednesday on bonds of $10,000 and $60,000, respectively.
