Longview ISD Bus Driver Accused of Assaulting Student

LONGVIEW � An investigation into an alleged assault by a Longview ISD bus driver on an elementary school student has been turned over to authorities. KETK reports the driver, who allegedly committed the assault Thursday afternoon, is no longer employed with the district. District officials say they were notified about the incident Thursday and immediately suspended the employee pending an investigation. The district has turned the investigation over to the Longview Police Department and the Texas Child Protective Services Division.
