Man, Wife Sought in Recent Theft

VAN ZANDT COUNTY — Van Zandt County law enforcement is looking for a man and his wife allegedly connected to a recent theft. According to KETK, the Van Zandt Co. Constable Precinct 4 Office says Jacob Aaron Cooksy is wanted by authorities for theft greater than $1,500. The fugitive has been jumping from house to house in the Van/Jamestown/Garden Valley/Enchanted Lakes area and only stays for a few hours at a time in one place, according to officials.
Law officers say Cooksy and his wife, Lindsey, are without transportation and are being aided by various friends. Officials stated it is a felony to harbor or hinder apprehension of a wanted felon. Cooksy is on the county’s Ten Most Wanted list for February 2015. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to his arrest.
