Unemployment Figures Released for Tyler, Longview

KETK reports that according to the Texas Workforce Commission, the Tyler area is slightly above the statewide average at 4.7%, and Longview is just under the mark at 4.3%. Tyler is up from 4.1% and Longview rose from 3.8% in December. Year-over-year, Tyler and Longview’s unemployment rates fell from 6.1% and 5.7%, respectively. The statewide unemployment rate fell to 4.4% from 4.6% in December.
