Police Need Your Help Identifying Crime Spree Suspect

Robbery suspect 4282015TYLER — Tyler police are looking for an unknown suspect allegedly involved in several crimes that occurred Tuesday night. According to police, at 7:15 p.m., the suspect broke into a vehicle in the 7000 block of S. Broadway and stole the victim’s credit card holder with credit cards. The suspect then allegedly went to Valero in the 6500 block of S. Broadway and used the stolen credit cards. At 9:40 p.m. the suspect reportedly approached a female in the Jalapeno Tree parking lot asking for directions. According to police, he got into her vehicle without permission and stole her change purse and small items as she was talking on her cell phone.

At 10:05 p.m. the same suspect reportedly approached a female in the Chuy’s parking lot asking for directions and then told her to give him her purse or he was going to shoot her. Police say the suspect grabbed the purse and fled on foot. The suspect is described as a black male, 6’3”, thin build, wearing a black cap, a dark wingstop logo shirt, and dark pants. He is believed to be driving a silver Volvo with an unknown license plate. Anyone with information about the suspect involved in this crime is urged to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833). Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to arrests and charges filed against the suspects in this case or any felony case.
