Longview police are encouraging anyone with additional information about Joey Huddleston, to contact Detective Audrey Wright at 903-237-1106. Huddleston, 34, a former Longview middle school employee, was arrested last week after being accused of soliciting a minor through the internet and text messages. During their investigation, officers learned other children may have been involved.
Huddleston was arrested on April 27th on East Loop 281 after police say he made arrangements to meet with a 15-year-old boy with the intent of engaging in sexual conduct. Investigators say he knew the boy’s age prior to setting up the meeting. He had reportedly been communicating with the boy through online messages. He was placed in the Gregg County Jail under a $50,000 bond. Records indicate he was released from the jail on Saturday. Gregg County Jail records also indicate Huddleston was arrested a couple of months ago on a charge of injury of a child/elderly/disabled person with the intent of bodily injury.
