Austin Bank-Broadway and FrontTYLER — Austin Bank has unveiled the architectural drawings for a new Downtown Tyler multi-level 23,000 square foot financial center. It is projected they will break ground on the project in the mid to late 3rd quarter. With a plan to consolidate the Tyler Commercial Lenders in one facility, Austin Bank purchased the Forum Building property at the corner of Front Street and Broadway. The building will provide the space needed to incorporate a first class Commercial Lending Center with a state of the art Retail Banking Office.

“Austin Bank’s commitment to Tyler spans over 30 years,” commented Chairman of the Board Jeff Austin, Jr. “Our first Tyler office was opened in 1984 and with continued growth we have opened five additional locations throughout the city. Our new downtown Bank, led by Smith County Regional President Steve Wiggs and Retail Market Manager Maria Davenport, will further enhance the Bank’s presence and commitment to the Tyler community.”

Tyler Economic Development Council President/CEO Tom Mullins added, “Tyler and especially downtown Tyler are very fortunate to have this major new banking facility coming to our community. This will be a beautiful addition to the Heart of the City and will bring high quality jobs with it. We are so pleased Austin Bank has made the decision to invest here.”

The main entry for the Bank will face Broadway with ample parking for customers. An ATM will be located along Front Street and a new drive in facility will be constructed at the corner of Spring and Front Streets. The S.L.I. Group, Inc. of Houston, a Commercial design / build firm, will also serve as General Contractor with completion expected in late Spring 2016.
