Power Surge at Local Hospital Briefly Disables Systems

It included electronic medical records, transmission of orders and lab requests, according to KETK. The medical center enacted manual downtime procedures system-wide. All systems have been restored and validated for standard use. The exact cause of the power surge is being investigated. A team of technicians and specialists worked to diagnose and restore all systems to full capacity. Some elective procedures were canceled and the patients were notified.
