Couple Accused of Multi-state Crime Spree

Jarod Jackson_1433522136553_1041559_ver1.0MINEOLA — Two alleged burglars have been taken into custody for the theft of several thousands dollars from a Mineola Bank’s ATM. According to KETK, it turns out the pair was wanted for crimes across several states. Police said around 1:30 a.m. on May 31, an alarm was reported at BTH Bank on North Pacific, but responding officers did not find anyone at the scene. The following day, authorities discovered optic and phone lines had been intentionally cut and the ATM had been the target of a burglary. The vault was cut open with a torch and grinding tools. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken.

On Tuesday, the suspects were identified as Jarod Micah Jackson, 33, of Brusly, Louisiana, and Natasha Nicole Adams, 28, of Denham Springs, Louisiana. A search warrant was executed at their hotel room in Emory and the duo was arrested. Officials recovered several torches, hoses, acetylene bottles, oxygen bottles, drills, grinders, pry bars and guns, including an assault rife. The suspects had allegedly been burglarizing ATMs across the states of Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Kansas, Florida and Missouri.

Jackson and Adams were charged with theft greater than $20,000, criminal mischief over $1,500 and criminal mischief over $20,000. They remain in the Wood County Jail on $145,000 bond.
