thumb_Lady-JusticeTYLER – A 54-year-old Tyler woman has been sentenced for wire fraud in the Eastern District of Texas, announced U.S. Attorney John M. Bales Thursday. Tammy Ogden pleaded guilty to that charge last Dec. 15. She was sentenced Wednesday in Tyler to 27 months in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Leonard E. Davis. Ogden was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $136,237.75.

According to federal authorities, from July 2009 to November 2012, Ogden was employed by a professional cleaning and restoration company that performs water, fire, and storm damage restoration. During this time, she devised and executed a scheme to defraud her employer by offering unauthorized discounts to customers, creating fraudulent invoices and receipts, obtaining payments, and embezzling the proceeds.
