Methvin and Center Street Intersection Remains Closed to Traffic

LONGVIEW – Construction is shifting eastward on Methvin Street in Longview. The section of Methvin between High and Center Streets will be reopened to traffic by Friday, July 10, according to city officials. However, the Methvin section between Center and Fredonia will be closed for construction starting July 13. That closure is expected to last through this fall. Officials say the effort entails streetscape improvements and replacement of utilities. The project was approved as part of the 2011 Street Improvements bond package.
