Pine Tree Community Remembers Fallen Teammate

LONGVIEW — Community members gathered at the Pine Tree Pirate Center to remember fallen teammate Josh Warren. KETK reports Warren died last week less than 24 hours after a strength and conditioning workout at Pine Tree. About 200 people attended the memorial in the multi-purpose complex. Speakers highlighted what an incredible young man they said the 16-year-old was during his time at Pine Tree ISD.
Head Football Coach David Collins said Josh will be honored every time his team steps onto the field this upcoming season. “We as a group have come together and we’ve decided that…whatever we’ve been doing that didn’t model Josh’s life, we’re gonna start doing. We’re gonna start modeling his life and modeling what he did and the strength that he brought us as a group.”
Donations to Josh’s memorial fund can be made at any Austin Bank location. Warren was also the cousin of former Texas A&M star and current Broncos defensive end Von Miller.
