Missing Yantis Woman’s Body Found

WOOD COUNTY — East Texas officials have found the body of a missing Wood County woman. According to KETK, the Wood County Sheriff’s Office says they found Maria Garcia, 60, in a pond near County Road 1730. She went missing after she was last seen walking down County Road 1726 in Yantis. Garcia was believed to have suffered from dementia, among other health-related issues.
