Boil Water Notice Rescinded in Walnut Grove Area

WHITEHOUSE — A boil water notice has been rescinded for customers of the Whitehouse area’s Walnut Grove Water Supply Corporation. Officials said Monday that the notice from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) was prompted when a routine monthly sample tested positive for E. coli. According to a statement issued by the water company Tuesday, “Our system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling as of October 27, 2015.” You can visit http://www.walnutgrovewatersupply.org for more information or call Dan at the Walnut Grove WSC office at 903-839-4372.
