Arrest Expected in Manziel House Fire

manzielfire_1448474923169_5757310_ver1.0TYLER — The Smith County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed an arrest is expected in an October fire at the home of Johnny Manziel’s grandfather. According to KETK, Lt. Gary Middleton says a burglary did occur the night of the fire, which is being investigated as possible arson. The homeowner is not a suspect in the investigation. The two-story Lake Tyler house was destroyed in the early morning hours of October 7. When firefighter arrived shortly after 1:30 p.m., the home had already begun to collapse. The fire was deemed suspicious not long after the home had burned down. According to the Smith County Appraisal District, the property was valued at $408,438.
