Old Jacksonville Road Fatal 12-2-15DALLAS – A 5-year-old who was involved in a multi-vehicle wreck Wednesday afternoon has died. According to KETK, DPS Trooper Jean Dark says Camdyn Randle died at a Dallas hospital Thursday night. The four-car wreck occurred around 1:30 p.m., just north of Toll 49 in Smith County near Bruno’s. According to Trooper Dark, a crossover driven by Candace Randle, 30, of Tyler, was headed south on Farm-to-Market Road 2493 when it moved into the turning lane and hit the back left portion of a Lexus. The crossover then veered back into the southbound lane and was hit from behind by an SUV traveling south.

The impact shoved the crossover into a side skid in the northbound lane where it was then struck by a Ford Taurus on the passenger side of the vehicle. Camdyn Randle was flown to Dallas for treatment. Candace Randle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Taurus driver Mary Ford, 80, of Tyler, was taken to a local hospital in serious condition. Authorities say the SUV driver, Thomas Young, 51, of Bullard, was taken to a local hospital in stable condition. Lexus driver Otto Curtis Smith, 84, of Tyler was not hurt.
