Two Wounded in Longview Shootings

LONGVIEW – A shooting near the intersection of East Marshall Avenue and American Legion Boulevard in Longview has left one person injured. It was reported shortly before 11:45 Monday morning. Officers found a man who had been shot once in the back. He was taken to Good Shepherd Medical Center with what was described as non-life threatening injuries. Investigators say they don’t have any suspect information because the victim has been uncooperative.
This was the second shooting in as many days in Longview. Just before 6:00 Sunday night, one person was shot on Birdsong Street in the area of Willow Park. They were taken to the hospital by private vehicle. The victim is said to have received a life threatening injury.
The investigation of both shootings is continuing.
