thTYLER — Tyler home sales decreased .3% in the fourth quarter of 2015 to 652 single-family home sales, while median price fell 6.5% to $159,000 during the same time frame. That’s according to the 2015-Q4 Texas Quarterly Housing Report released Monday by the Texas Association of Realtors. Chairman of the Greater Tyler Association of Realtors, Claudia Carroll, says some of that drop may because of all the rain we had. She said, people don’t go house hunting in the rain.

But, while 4th quarter home sales in Tyler were down, the yearly figures were exceptional. Carroll says home sales for the year were up 8.2% and they are off to a great start this year. Carroll say last month was their busiest January ever.

Statewide, Texas home sales and prices set annual records in 2015. In 2015-Q4, Texas home sales increased 0.3% to 70,150 sales. You can find more details in the release below.
