Police: Trafic Stop Yields Meth

KETK reports that around 10:15 Saturday night, police conducted a traffic stop on West Marshall Avenue on a vehicle driven by Robert Carpenter. Police say Carpenter informed officers he had some methamphetamine in his pocket and also consented to a vehicle search, which turned up nothing. Carpenter was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 under 1 gram, which is a state jail felony.
