Fatal Henderson County Crash

ATHENS – The Department of Public Safety has identified an Athens man as the victim of a Henderson County wreck. He is 55 year old Eddie Wayne Richards. He was killed in the wreck shortly before 7:45 Thursday night on Loop 7, about a mile southwest of Athens. The DPS says his pickup left the road on a sharp curve and hit a guardrail and then rolled several times. Richards, who was not wearing his seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle.
