A pair of John Tyler Lions have decided that TCU is where they want to play college football.

Junior WR/QB David Bush and Junior Safety Chris Hackett verbally committed to play for the Horned Frogs, after the two visited TCU’s Fort Worth campus on the school’s Junior Day this past Saturday. Both were 2nd Team All-District 11-5A selections last season.

Bush, an explosive multi-faceted athlete, also considered Tulsa, Houston, and SMU. He is expected to take over the reins under center for CUJO next season as a senior. Bush accounted for 816 all-purpose yards and 12 touchdowns helping the Lions reach the Class 5A Division II State Quarterfinals in 2009.

Hackett, on the other hand, intercepted three passes, including two in JT’s first round playoff victory over Copperas Cove. He also recorded 49 tackles and six pass break-ups as the Lions’ strong safety last season. Hackett also considered Oklahoma State, and SMU.
