Two Marshall Policemen Honored

MARSHALL – Two Marshall police officers have been named as Officers of the Quarter. The award goes to officers Jose Burciaga (pictured) and Cory Adkinson. Both are in the department’s patrol Bureau. Shortly after 7:15pm on December 27, 2015, the officers were dispatched to the area of West Pinecrest and Loop 390 in reference to a vehicle in the ditch. They found a vehicle that had left the roadway and rolled over into a ravine and the driver was trapped inside. The officers were able to rescue the driver. They both received MVP awards for their actions.
Officer Adkinson has been with MPD since 2012 and is currently assigned to the patrol bureau and serves as a field training officer. Officer Burciaga has been with MPD since 2014 and is currently assigned to the patrol bureau and serves as a field training officer as well.
