brainTYLER — For the second time this month, a Tyler radio personality has been arrested on drug charges. Patrick Aaron Aguirre, 39, known as “The Brain” on the station “The Breeze,” was arrested at his home shortly before 11:15 Thursday morning. Tyler Police say the latest arrest follows a six-month long investigation. Aguirre has been charged with engaging in organized criminal activity and manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance. He was booked into the Smith County Jail with bonds totaling $850,000. Aguirre was previously arrested at his Becky Drive home on May 4th and charged with possession of marijuana. On top of everything else, Aguirre has been fired by Waller Media.

According to KETK, an arrest warrant signed by Judge Christi Kennedy of the 114th District Court, indicated Aguirre was engaged in organized criminal activity from October 2014 to May 2016 and was involved in the movement of at least $300,000 worth of marijuana during that time. He is also accused of money laundering. Justin Campos, Elizabeth Bolton, Jessica Nelson-Guin and Jesse Campos have also been charged with engaging in organized criminal activity. Cullen Parker was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and unlawful carry of a weapon. He was released back in February.
