Cherokee County Kidnapping Suspect Arrested
Posted/updated on: May 29, 2016 at 4:00 pmMT SELMAN – A man with ties to Bullard and Troup, and wanted by Cherokee County authroities for kidnapping, has been arrested. Trenton Salmon, 23, was arrested shortly before 3:45 Friday afternoon at a home in Reklaw. Captain John Raffield with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department says Salmon has been taken to the Cherokee County Jail. He is being charged with aggravated kidnapping and interference with emergency request for assistance.
He was said to have been arguing with his girlfriend, an argument that continued at a Mount Selmen convenience store. Captain John Raffield with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department says Salmon forced her back in his truck and drove off. She was able to get away and called 911. She was walking down the road when a sheriff’s deputy found her and picked her up.
