tyler-publiclibrary-2TYLER – Children looking for summer activities will find a lot at the Tyler Public Library. And this summer, the bus ride to and from the library will be free. Children and teens up to the age of 18 will be able to ride a Tyler Transit bus free with a Tyler Library card. Youth Services Librarian Linda Gray says Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult, over 18, at all times. And the adult fare with the child is only $1.

And besides all the books, the library has a lot of summer activities. Besides the Summer Reading Club, Wednesday afternoons there are programs for elementary students. The program for teens is Thursday afternoons and then there are movies on Mondays and performers come in on Friday. The free bus rides to the library begin on Wednesday and will run through August 31st. You can keep tabs on all the activities at http://library.cityoftyler.org or by calling 903-593-7323. (READ)
