Lineup Announced for the Cowan Center’s 20th Anniversary Season

UT Tyler Cowan CenterTYLER – It sure looks like the Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center’s 20th anniversary season will have something for everyone. There will be Jay Leno, comedians Jerry Seinfield and Jeff Foxworthy, Broadway shows like Pippin and Dirty Dancing, and music from Jackie Evancho and Jim Brickman. Season tickets will go on sale next Wednesday. You can visit http://www.cowancenter.org for season ticket prices.

Here’s the lineup:

Performing Arts Series:
The Aluminum Show, October 29; Cirque Dreams Holidaze, December 1; Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, February 21; and The Illusionists: Live from Broadway, March 9. Subscribers to this series may add tickets to stand-up comedian Jerry Seinfeld, Sept. 15.

Broadway Series:
Pippin, January 31; 42nd Street, March 2; Dirty Dancing, March 21 and 22.

Encore Celebration Series:
Jeff Foxworthy, October 22; and Greater Tuna, April 7. Subscribers to this series may add the 20th Anniversary Evening of Celebration Starring Jay Leno, February 4.

Braithwaite Intimate Gatherings Series:
Jackie Evancho, January 21; and Jim Brickman – An Evening of Romance, February 14. Subscribers to this series may add Black Violin, April 11.

Distinguished Lecture Series:
Ben Carson, M.D., September 27; and Charles Krauthammer, M.D., October 25. The Charles Krauthammer lecture will be presented at the Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Center in Longview.

Arts in Education Series:
Bill Blagg’s The Science of Magic, November 17; ArcAttack, February 17 and Black Violin on April 11.
