Fatal Accident Near Marshall

MARSHALL — The latest fatality accident in Harrison County is a one vehicle wreck that left one person dead. The crash occurred around 4:15 Monday morning on Farm Road 1997 near Marshall. Dead at the scene was Brandon Amie, 32, of Marshall. The Department of Public Safety reports his pickup was heading north when, for unknown reasons, the pickup went partially off the east side of the road. The driver over corrected, crossed the road to end up in a ditch where the vehicle overturned. Amie, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle.
