Video Released in Weekend Jack-in-the-Box Heists

suspect2_1470080030023_9854020_ver1.0 EAST TEXAS — Two similar robberies in two East Texas towns remain under investigation, and video has been released in both. In Tyler, the Jack in the Box on far South Broadway was robbed. Tyler police said that robbery happened around 4:00 when the suspect surprised an employee in the office, pointed a semi-automatic pistol at her and demanded money from the safe. He fled with an undisclosed amount of money. Based upon surveillance video, the suspect is described as a white male about six feet tall and weighing 180 to 200 pounds. He was wearing all black and had his face covered with a red bandana. The employee suffered minor injuries when the suspect struck her in the face with the pistol. robbery7_1470086351915_9857839_ver1.0Meanwhile, Kilgore Police continue investigating an armed robbery similar to the one reported in Tyler. Authorities said early Saturday morning, before the Tyler incident, a masked gunman robbed the Jack in the Box on Highway 259. The lone suspect had attempted to cover all of his skin and may have intentionally distorted his voice in an attempt to conceal his identity. Video indicated he was a white male with dark hair.
