Transportation Survey Will Soon Start

TYLER – The Texas Department of Transportation is sponsoring household, workplace, and commercial vehicle travel surveys that will soon be conducted in the Tyler and Longview areas. The survey will be conducted by two transportation research firms, ETC Institute and Gram Traffic Counting. Beginning this fall, randomly-selected households and workplaces will be mailed notification letters, inviting them to participate in these voluntary surveys. Employees and visitors at participating workplaces may also be given the opportunity to contribute trip-related information as part of this effort. If asked, you are asked to consider taking part in the study. The results will help TxDOT and the Tyler and Longview Metropolitan Planning Organizations prioritize local transportation projects, improve mobility and reduce congestion.
