Traffic Stop Produces Drug Charges in Longview

Handcuffed suspect-whiteLONGVIEW – A damaged license plate has led to two Gregg County residents being charged with drugs and weapons charges. Charged of possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana was Aaron Matthew Delzell, 39, and Sherri Ann Perkins, 46, both of Gladewather. Delzell was also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, while Perkins was charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon. The Longview News Journal reports their arrests came after a state trooper stopped their car around 11:00 Monday night at the intersection of Marshall Avenue and Fourth Street in Longview.
