Texas Mutual’s Jeremiah Bentley tells KTBB’s Paul Gleiser that his company is the largest provider of workers’ comp insurance in the state — adding that keeping workers safe is Texas Mutual’s highest priority. The event features a panel on safety in construction, oil and gas, and services. Also, Texas Mutual Vice President of Safety and Information Woody Hill will deliver OSHA updates and provide information on preparing your business for an OSHA inspection.
Bentley says employers have a lot to gain by attending the summit. He points out that more than 1000 workplace injuries in the Tyler area were reported last year to his company, which represents some 40 per cent of the Tyler market. Bentley says employers’ top priorities should be training workers up front — and leading by example. Go to http://www.worksafetexas.com/tyler to register for the summit and to get more information.
