Recognition for Two Robert E Lee Students

TYLER – Two Robert E Lee High School Students have received honors from the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program. Mary Claire Neal has been named a Semifinalist and Kushan Gupta a Commended Student. Neal joins around 16,000 students across the nation in receiving Semifinalist honors. These academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships. Gupta joins 34,000 Commended Students across the nation in being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Although they will not continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships, Commended Students do become candidates for special scholarships sponsored by corporations and businesses.
