Weather Putting a Crimp in Some Holiday Events
Posted/updated on: December 4, 2016 at 8:06 amEAST TEXAS – The weather is causing problems for holiday events planned in East Texas this weekend. Heavy rain is predected Saturday through Monday. KETK is reporting over 4 inches of rain will be seen in some areas. Because of the weather, holiday events are either being cancelled or rescheduled.
Cancelled:
Whitehouse Christmas in the Park and parade
Lindale Christmas parade
The Marshall Wonderland of Lights Christmas Parade
Saturday’s Lighting of the Van Oil Museum Oil Derrick program
Rescheduled:
Christmas at the Gregg County Courthouse has been rescheduled from Saturday to December 10, from 4-9 p.m.
Tyler YMCA’s Ugly Christmas Sweater Run now set for January 7.
Little Town of Bethlehem of Cornerstone Baptist Church has been rescheduled. Original dates were December 5-7. It will now take place on December 12, 13 and 14.
Bullard’s Christmas Kickoff along with the parade has been rescheduled for Thursday, December 8. The times will remain the same.
In Marshall, Jingle Bell Run, scheduled for Saturday, has been re-scheduled for 1:00pm on Sunday, December 11.
The Mineola Christmas parade has been rescheduled for Saturday, December 10 at 5:30 p.m..
Palestine’s Christmas Parade of Lights has been rescheduled for December 10. The parade will begin at 7 p.m. on the 10th.
The Christmas parade in Gun Barrel City has been rescheduled to December 10 at 6:00pm.
