aloncarDALLAS (AP) — A memorial service has been planned for a prominent personal injury attorney who died Sunday. The memorial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday for Brian Loncar. The service will be at Munger Place Church. Visitation will be at Sparkman Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery from noon until 7 p.m. Thursday. The burial will be private, according to the Dallas Morning News. Dallas police said the 56-year-old was found unresponsive Sunday morning in the front seat of his vehicle, which was parked in front of his downtown law office, Cesar Chavez Blvd. Police say the manner and cause of death are still under investigation.

The Dallas County medical examiner said it could take up to two months to get toxicology results and determine Loncar’s cause of death. It is not uncommon for toxicology results to take a while to process. Loncar’s death came two days after the funeral for his 16-year-old daughter, who killed herself on Nov. 26.

According to Grace Loncar’s obituary, she had battled depression. Brian Loncar was well-known in Texas for his television advertisements, in which he branded himself the “strong arm.” His firm has offices across Texas, including Tyler, 223 E Charnwood St. A statement from Brian Loncar’s family on Sunday said they were filled with “enormous sadness and profound grief” following his death. It also said they were “hurting and struggling to understand.”
