Boil Water Notice in Palestine

PALESTINE – The City of Palestine is issuing a boil water notice for a portion of the city. It is for residents with city water only on Crestline Drive between Hillcrest and Alpine drives, Alpine Drive and the Texas State Railroad Park. The action is due to a fire hydrant replacement. Water system officials will notify residents when boiling the water is no longer needed.

According to a city news release, to ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to use. The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source.
