Appointments To the Trinity River Authority Board Of Directors

AUSTIN – An Anderson County man is one of nine persons appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to the Trinity River Authority Board of Directors. He is Dr. Robert McFarlane of Palestine. He is a cardiologist with East Texas Physician’s Alliance, and was also the owner and sole proprietor of The BigWoods on the Trinity from 1995-2015. Most of their terms will expire on March 15th, 2021.

The Governor also appointed to the board Whitney Beckworth and William “Will” Rodgers, both of Fort Worth, Frank Steed of Kerens, Edward “Cary” Williams, III of Dallas, John Jenkins of Hankamer, Kevin Maxwell of Crockett, Manny Rachal of Livingston and Tori Lucas of Terrell.

TRA’s statute specifies that three of its board members be appointed from within Tarrant County, four from Dallas County, one from each of the remaining 15 counties within its geographical jurisdiction, and the remaining three at-large. The TRA board holds six regularly scheduled meetings throughout the year and is authorized to call special meetings as required.
