Rusk County Shooting Suspect Sought

HENDERSON – Rusk County authorities are looking for a man they believe was responsible for a shooting on Tuesday. He is Billy Wayne Newman, 44, of Henderson. He was seen running from the scene of the shooting that wounded a man on County Road 4132. He was hospitalized for treatment. A warrant for Newman’s arrest has been issued by Justice of the Peace Joe Sorrells. He is being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
