Assistance Continues for East Texas Storm Victims

CANTON – Assistance continues for East Texas residents affected by recent tornadoes. Starting Monday, Red Cross representatives will be at the Canton Distribution Center at the Canton Fair Grounds. They will be able to answer questions and make arrangements for casework. The Red Cross’s Tammy Prater says they will remain there as long as the center remains open. Additionally, says Prater, mobile caseworkers are out in every affected community trying to reach as many victims as possible.

In a news release, Prater adds, “We continue to encourage those impacted to contact the Red Cross at 866-505 4801. Anyone who wishes to make a monetary donation to disaster relief efforts may do so at http://www.redcross.org, by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS or by texting REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.”
